Unfortunately, times at the moment are tough and will continue to get worse for a while. What happens in these periods is that businesses have to start cutting costs in order to survive and usually marketing, especially SEO is one of these.

However, in retrospect, these are the best to actually invest in SEO and push past your competitors who have cut down costs and marketing. Build up domain authority and refreshment WHILE competitors are inactive.
